We know how important it is to get the healthcare you need, when you need it. Available to all Bupa Global members, this service provides you with access to virtual consultations with a doctor, by phone or video, at a time that suits you.

Global Virtual Care doctors can provide prescription and over-the-counter medication recommendations and self-care advice. They can also help with onward specialist referrals where needed, supporting you with guidance to the right care for your symptoms. Where local regulations allow, you can even receive prescriptions and referral letters directly to your phone.

How to request a consultation in the MembersWorld app


  • Click the 'Digital healthcare' button at the top of the home screen
  • Choose 'Speak to a doctor anytime, anywhere'
  • Once on this screen select book or view appointments
  • Choose your location or language option
  • Select your preferred appointment date and time
  • Confirm telephone contact details, reason for appointment, and add any documents/photos if appropriate
  • Confirm your appointment

At the time of your appointment, launch the video consultation at your selected appointment time or wait for a doctor to call you if you selected a telephone consultation.

What are the language options

For a telephone consultation you can select one of the following languages:

  • English
  • Spanish
  • French
  • Portuguese
  • Hindi
  • Arabic
  • German
  • Cantonese
  • Mandarin

For a video consultation, only English and Spanish are available.


When accessing Global Virtual Care in Singapore, appointments are by video and in English only.

How many consultations can I have?

You can have an unlimited number of consultations. Any follow-up care outside this service is subject to your policy benefits.

Can I request prescriptions and referrals at any time?

Doctors will issue prescriptions and referrals based on diagnosis and local regulations. They can also provide prescription and over-the-counter medication recommendations and self-care advice.


If you have a chronic condition doctors may be able to prescribe up to 3 months of medications.


Prescription delivery is also available in several countries at an additional cost.

Does receiving this service affect the treatment that I am covered for?

Global Virtual Care is a service provided to existing members at no extra cost and is not linked to any benefit limits or underwriting on your policy.


However, following a Global Virtual Care appointment, if you need any treatment, including a prescription or onward referral for face-to-face care, this will be subject to the cover of your health plan. If you are unsure of whether a treatment is covered following your virtual consultation, please contact us to request pre-authorisation.
